Humanoids are the sentient beings and the main population of the Surface.
Background
The humanoids' origin is unclear, whether they were biologically humans as a result of futuristic evolution or genetic manipulation.
Physical characteristics
They are bipedal figures that entirely resemble humans in many ways, saving for the distinctive features in contrast to normal humans: Complete lack of hair, including facial and body hair. They have pale-shaded inhuman skin texture, smaller incomplete ears, very bright pupiless eyes, and two vertical lines in place of their mouths. At the center of their chest is a long vertical slit-shaped navel.
Sub-species
- Genesis-type - The most common sub Humanoid species of the Surface. Naturally, they are born from the Genesis Wall and are notable by their carapace growths in place of soft skin.[1]
- Polis-type - They are more advanced variants, and furthermore most likely the artificially evolved forms of the same Genesis-type sub-species.
